SpaTree started in 2004 when the founder, Jannita Mossel, had travelled extensively to different parts of the world to study local health therapies and developed a strong interest in ancient healing practices. After obtaining her degree as licensed lecturer and completing the study of Cultural Anthropology at the University of Amsterdam, she worked in different parts of India in setting up Educational programs in the field of Wellness and Spa for Hotel Schools and Hospitality departments. Since the start up of the company, Jannita actively works as licensed lecturer and international trainer, advisor, writer, speaker and concept developer. During her work as international trainer she has trained students who now work for brands such as Mandarin Oriental, Aman Resorts, Six Senses, Taj Hotels, The Leela, and Ananda in the Himalayas. Her teaching programs and advisory work centers around themes such as responsible tourism, innovation and trends, back-to nature concepts in Luxury travel, sustainability in Luxury Spa, outdoor & canvas concepts in Hospitality:
'Travel without Walls'.

Anna Raetsen is an industrial designer. She graduated from Delft University of Technology at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. Her passion is designing products that are eco-friendly without compromising on aesthetics, comfort and luxury.
Bouwe Besseling is an architect and graduated from Delft University of Technology, Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment. He finds the dialogue between environment and the designed product most intriguing. His passion is to address complex design challenges and to turn them into logical, user friendly and most of all, beautiful design.
